Thanks a lot for sharing perspective, it is much appreciated. The main reasoning why it is not been distributed as is, is because it's a modular system. Template alone won't make much more sense as it is controlled by scripts. Yes, it could clarify some aspects but not to the degree of fully usable solution. I had plans on making it more public accessible but.. To be honest at some point direct requests which I been receiving anchored it and turned down my will to do anything about it further. Nonetheless, I am always open to answer questions if they are with a wish to learn - thus do not hesitate to ask anytime !

Hey man, thanks a lot for sharing! That is what I love the most - constructive comments! Below are things which will help for anyone experiencing the same issues as you described. I hear you about AE to AME being quite slow, especially when project size grows. And I have a solution for you, very simple one - AME Watch folders. You setup a watch folder, move comp which has to be needed into root of project panel, and Save As project file to the folder of your choice. AME will pick it automatically, in fact - even faster than AE >> AME transition and its a type of do it and forget it thing. Lets add this "Save As" feature as a button into panel and.. Its automated :) While I also tend to prefer aerender for a lot of things, at the same time making the use out of all available features for proper cases is essential thing to do. For AME stopping in between - yes, its doable to have this issue, as well as there is a solution for that. If it happens (and it can happen on RQ too btw), no matter you are on WIN or MacOs, open Task/Process Manager, find aerender process and kill it. I can't guarantee 100% hit rate with this one, but most often new aerender process begins and picks up from there - thus its not a terminal issue as well. I don't see a reason why computer should be not used at all while rendering - it fundamentally conflicts with the way computers work, isn't it? :)

Hey Andres, technically - yes, its possible. Go to Preferences in AME and in "General" tab in "Outputs" section check "Append preset name to filename". It should make it work

The thing about expressions is very simple - people come to grab expression and leave, without learning anything at all. My point of making tutorials is to invoke thinking, TO ACTUALLY LEARN. Providing guidelines about workflow logic is way more helpful LONG TERM than just giving expression to use. Thus - for those who don't want to learn, but just need solution to take - its not the best place to be. Other than that, viewers are free to ask questions what is unclear - as you could see from comments under my other videos, I always provide assistance. ✌

​ @Aseem Shehzad thanks, I hear what you are saying, its much appreciated. These series were based on an idea to showcase how videos are created automatically - without human intervention. Not to specifically pin-point each of expressions (and there are a bunch of them here) Sorry if it was misleading. Looking at this from texts level of things, you can already see the structure of layout. Each line has its text layer and a shape layer - where every position of it is driven by text heights. By adding text into the guide layer at the bottom of the comp, phrase is broken down into chars/line and array of phrases are linked in the text sources.

It surely motivated me to learn more expressions. Kudos to you! And keep making such content :) Looking forward to this.

Hey Andres! Can you point out on what type of layers it fails to work? It might help!

@@Tom10 It's a shape layer, it has shape keyframes so it is constantly changing its layer sizes, I wonder why it works in some layers but it just doesn't in others

@@Tom10 Help, I figured out what the problem is: the layers I am working on don't start at the beginning of the composition, the expression works perfectly but the part of "time" is not. Is there any expression I could add to that so it is not delayed?

@@andrestafur7980 with custom shape layers it might be a different story, but normally - the edge which remains closest to the edge you are pinning it to - even if it is animated !

@@andrestafur7980 instead of time, try to set it to "time - thisComp.layer(YOUR SHAPE LAYER NAME IN BRACKETS).inPoint"

Click on your Google Account icon at the top of Google Chrome browser page 2. Click on "Manage Your Google Account" 3. Click on "Security" option, in left pane / menu 4. Scroll down right side of page to, and click on "Third-party apps with account access" 5. Now, from within new "Third-party apps with account access" pane, select / click on target app (or browser extension), and then click on the blue colored, "Remove Access" button.

Hey, that is strange - but just in case, make sure that this "scaleVal = 100;" is added in the expression as well. As it seems that it might be missing in your expression. Let me know how it goes !

Hey Josh, what contents are inside that tracked comp? What you could try to do: 1. Place proxy comp in 4K comp. 2. Upscale it to fit 4k comp. 3. Enable collapse transformation toggle. 4. Make sure layers in proxy comp has enabled collapse transformation toggles too, as well as all layers inside pre-comps. That would be the easiest way of achieving this - it has some cons too, but see if it goes in a correct path and let me know!

@@Tom10 I'd loose too much quality doing it that way unfortunately :/ I was just wondering if you could scale up actual NULL tracking information to another comp aspect ratio while still maintaining the same perspectives, dimensions and stuff

​@@joshlorenzen this doesn't make full sense, at least from the way I understood (as upscaling replaced proxy with new 4k footage would keep quality in tact with collapse transformation in place) Anyways, what you could try to do is the following: 1. Duplicate your tracking null. 2. Add a new null into a comp, lets call it master. 3. Link tracking null to master null. 4. Copy both nulls into a new comp. 5. Center align master null 6. Upscale master null to the ratio difference from proxy comp. so is proxy was 1080p and main comp is 4k - scale it to 200; That way, transformations should be maintained, yet I am not sure if that will work pixel perfect for tracking data.

Hey Marshal, the best way to do this is to pre-compose text and then do any manipulations if needed. If this is not possible to do, then try either to apply "Transform" effect and move text around, or parent it to the null.

Hey Samuel, thanks for your interest. Its possible, as few customers did that. However, they stripped down the project, making it less complex, including only their specific use cases. On a different note, I am planning update of the template which will most definitely include mographs option as well.
